We are especially proud of our school and its continuing improvement in the state standardized tests.  Two years ago, we specifically targeted our Reading and Math scores in order to increase the number of students meeting and exceeding the Illinois Achievement Test (ISAT) by at least seven percent a year. We doubled that! In recognition of our accomplishment, Grigsby has recently been presented an achievement award from the Illinois State Board of Education for the dynamic increase in our Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) numbers.
Beyond our focused efforts committed to student learning, we are also proud of our many programs, sports, clubs and extracurricular events; that provide students with opportunities to define their individual talents and interests.  Through experiences in these programs, students gain confidence in themselves which we hope will support them when they leave our school.
