Juniors may put their name on the waiting list for stickers.  These stickers will be given based on grade point average and availability starting on September 2nd. 

STAY OUT OF COOLIDGE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL.  THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!  YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINE OR ARREST FOR TRESPASSING!!

Jostens will be here at lunch times again.  Anyone wishing to order a ring, be sure to stop by the Josten’s table in the cafeteria.  Extra packets are available in Mrs. Evan’s Office.

Attention students interested in trying out for the Warrior Bowling Team.  There will be an informational meeting this Thursday after school in room 152.  Repeating, there is a bowling meeting in Coach Wilson's room at 3:15 on Thursday September 2.

NHS Members! Our monthly meeting is this Friday, Sept. 3rd after school.  We will be discussing upcoming events along with the Haunted Barn.  Hope to see you there!

Auditions for this year’s Warrior Voices will be held Friday after school in Room 133 – the big study hall. Everyone auditioning should have vocal selections fully prepared. Any questions, stop by the theatre or Room 231.

The first meeting of the Young Authors Club will be held after school in Room 278 on Tuesday, September 7th.  Any students interested in writing poetry, short stories and novels should attend. 

Don’t forget to bring in your old cell phones and ink jet cartridges to Mrs. Cook in the Guidance Office!  Working together really pays off!  Last year we bought a smart board for the Science Department!  We paid for it with recycling funds you helped us earn!  Thank you and keep those cell phones and cartridges coming to the Guidance office!!!

Attention Students!  Are you looking for something to do tonight?  If so, gather your friends and make your way to the Warrior soccer game.  We play Francis Howell Central at home this evening. Junior Varsity starts at 5:00 pm and Varsity follows at 6:30 pm.  Be there to support your Warriors and make some noise!!!!

Need a present for a friend’s birthday, that isn’t too expensive? Spirit Club wants to help you wish your friends “Happy Birthday”. Pick up a form from Mrs. Niepert in room 164, for $1.00.  After the birthday is verified, your friend’s special day will be announced on the announcements! Don’t leave your friend out!! 

The Warrior Cross Country team started the competition season on Wednesday at the Columbia Relays with an “On Your Marks - - - - BANG!!

The girl’s A Relay team of Chrysta Alvarez, Emily Leon and Ellen Nikonowicz won 4th place medals in the 1.5 mile relay event with an average time of 10:50, and the boy’s A Relay team of Greg Rogers, Tino Briagas, and Bobby Robinson won 5th place medals with an average time of 9 minutes.  The rest of the relay teams ran very fast times as well under wet and muddy conditions.

The Warriors will compete again this Saturday on their home course for the Granite City Invitational against 31 other teams.  Races begin at 8:30 in Wilson Park, so come out to cheer on your favorite runners.

The Varsity Boys Golf Team improved to 6-0 on the season with a win in a quad match yesterday.  They defeated Edwardsville, Highland and Triad.  The medalist in the match was Clark Spalding with a one over par 37.  Also scoring for the warriors were Josh Whitecotton and Jared Harrington with 39s and Tyler Hendrick with a 40.  All golfer need to listen closely to the end of school announcements for details on to nights practice.

*There is now a silent reading area for ½ hr study halls. We have dozens of magazines and newspapers.  Get passes from Mr. Macios before school.  Only 6 per study hall, so get here early!

*Remember there is a 10 cent fine per day for overdue books up to $5 for each book.   Check the date due card on the inside cover and turn them in or renew them.

*Students coming in after the bell will be sent back to class marked tardy!


*Students wanting to participate in the State Reading Program “Read for a Lifetime” must sign up with your English teacher or Mr. Macios in the Media Center by October 23rd.  If you read 4 of the books from the list, you will get a certificate from the Secretary of State and your name posted on the School’s Media Center webpage.
