Due to current concerns of possible increased COVID-19 cases over the Winter Break, Granite City Community Unit School District #9 will continue to follow a remote learning model from January 5, 2021 through January 15, 2021. This should help minimize outbreaks, since students and staff will have surpassed the 10 day (if tested positive), or 14 day (if close contact) guidelines after the break.
- The first in-person learning date is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, for ALL students.
- Parents will receive a confirmation phone call on Friday, January 8, 2021.
- If unable to begin in-person learning on January 19, 2021, the next scheduled date to begin would be Monday, February 8, 2021.
Depending on IDPH, MCHD, ISBE guidelines as well as staffing availability, all dates are subject to change.
