Greetings Granite City Families,
Please click on the LINK to view the 2021-22 Return To Learn Plan. You will notice that there are some adjustments in building start and dismissal times. This is a direct result of a bus driver shortage of 20 fewer drivers. This change is necessary to provide transportation to all qualified bus riders. At this time, this change is for the first semester only while our provider, Illinois Central, tries to recruit new drivers.
Under the Health and Wellness section you will notice that, in consideration of the most recent regional, community, and other Illinois Department of Public Health and Madison County Health Department data, the decision on student face coverings will be made prior to the start of school with as much notice as possible.
We will continue to closely monitor COVID-19 trends in the 62040 zip code. Protecting our students, staff, and community to the greatest extent possible is always our priority; this decision grants us that opportunity. Your patience and cooperation is appreciated.
