Dear GCSD9 Families:
As you know Granite City Community Unit School District No. 9 has moved to a new bus company, First Student. We are hoping to have brand new fully staffed buses ready to roll for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 17.
We are aware that First Student is currently in collective bargaining contract negotiations with Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 788. We will keep you updated as to the progress of these negotiations.
