GCSD9 and First Student Launch New FirstView 1.0 Bus Tracking App

Dear GCSD9 Families:

In collaboration with our transportation partner, First Student Inc., Granite City Community School District #9 is launching FirstView 1.0, an updated real-time GPS vehicle tracking and student transportation monitoring platform. This tracking platform will be available to GCSD9 families immediately and will replace FirstView. 

FirstView 1.0 will give staff and parents/caregivers enhanced transparency and peace of mind if there's a delay or an update to the student's trip in addition to:

- Securely monitor student(s) daily trips via a real-time mobile app.
- See real-time vehicle location via GPS and track its progress.
- Easy access to vehicle details as well as updates regarding any changes.
- Receive distance notification alerts when the vehicle is near.

GCSD9 families will need to delete the old FirstView app and download the new FirstView 1.0 app. After downloading, you'll need to re-register your account. Parents will need the district code (V2Z3A), Student ID and Last Name.

Queridas familias de GCSD9:

En colaboración con nuestro socio de transporte, First Student Inc., Granite City Community School District #9 está lanzando FirstView 1.0, una plataforma actualizada de seguimiento de vehículos por GPS en tiempo real y monitoreo del transporte de estudiantes. Esta plataforma de seguimiento estará disponible para las familias GCSD9 de inmediato y reemplazará a FirstView.

FirstView 1.0   Dará al personal y a los padres/cuidadores una mayor transparencia y tranquilidad si hay un retraso o una actualización en el viaje del estudiante, además de:

- Supervisar de forma segura los viajes diarios de las estudiantes a través de una aplicación móvil en tiempo real.
- Vea la ubicación del autobús  en tiempo real a través de GPS y realice un seguimiento de su progreso.
- Fácil acceso a los detalles del autobús, así como a las actualizaciones sobre cualquier cambio.
- Reciba alertas de notificación de distancia cuando el autobús esté cerca.

Las familias de GCSD9 tendrán que eliminar la antigua aplicación FirstView y descargar la nueva aplicación FirstView 1.0. Después de descargar, tendrán que registrar de nuevo tu cuenta. Necesitaran  el código del distrito (V2Z3A), el número de identificación del estudiante y el apellido.
