Rotary Honors Students of the Month in Granite City

Granite City, Ill., March 5, 2024 – The Rotary Club of Granite City recognized four juniors from Granite City High School as Students of the Month for January and February.

Students were nominated by teachers, and were chosen on the basis of academics, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and civic honors and awards, and organization membership and leadership.

Each honoree will receive a framed certificate and a gift card, and will be recognized at the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast on March 12, 2024.

TESSA HAMLIN - January
Two-time Honor Roll ... Member of Renaissance and Spirit Club ... Volunteer at St. Elizabeth's Church ... Daughter of Jessica Buzan. 

ISAIAH FORD - January
Two-time Track Team Captain ... Boys Scouts Troop Member ... Member of Student Council and Varsity Club ... Volunteer for Boy Scouts Scouting for Food ... Son of Kassandra Stoops.

Three-year member of girls soccer team ... Personal Choice Award ... Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Varsity Club ... Volunteer Volleyball Coach at Coolidge ... Daughter of Steve Kondrich and Tisha Beanland. 

IVETTE RIOS - February
Three-year member of Dance Team ... First Vice President of Student Council ... Volunteer at Church for Food Bank and as Guidance Coach ... Daughter of Leonel Rios.
