STEM and Coding Camp
p STEM and Coding Camp for 9th-11th Graders

This 3 day summer camp will include activities that will promote collaborative problem-solving, writing code, and exploration and discovery of connections in science, math, and robotics using Texas Instruments technology.   
Please email denise.albrecht@gcsc9.net to register,
complete forms accessible by links below ,
and drop them off along with the $20 registration fee to
G.C. High School.  Registration will remain open until all vacancies are filled.

Senior Recognition and Graduation

Senior recognition is on May 29th at 7:00pm
in the GCHS Performing Arts Center. 

Seniors that will be recognized will receive a personal invite. 
This recognition ceremony will include scholarship awards, departmental awards, and recognition's.  

GCHS Graduation is on May 31st at 7:30pm
on Kevin Greene Field at the Nelson Hagnauer Sports Complex on the campus of Granite City High School, weather permitting.  Gates will open at 5:30pm, seating is open with no reservations.

Are Kindergartners ready

The BND did an article on the recent study that children are not prepared for Kindergarten.  

One of our own Kindergarten classes was in this wonderful article and shows that Granite City is doing a good job at preparing them.  Then the Police Chief Rich Miller did a letter to the Editor talking about our great programs we have in Granite City to Help Education succeed in Our Town.

SIUE Bi-State Band Festival
band The SIUE Bi-State Band Festival was held this weekend on the
campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  
Over 45 high schools and 250 musicians from Illinois and Missouri auditioned to participate in the festival. 
GCHS was represented extremely well with 16 band members selected to participate in the Bi-State Bands!
