IL ABLE
The following information and resources are being provided to support families in learning more about the Illinois Achieving a Better Life Experience (IL ABLE) program. IL ABLE accounts are tax-advantaged savings and investment accounts designed to help individuals with disabilities save and invest without impacting eligibility for certain public benefits.
In accordance with Public Act 104-0314, school districts are required to share information about the IL ABLE program with families of students who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
Families are encouraged to explore the resources below to learn more about eligibility, benefits, and how to open an IL ABLE account.
