GCSD9 schools conduct a variety of safety drills annually to prepare students and staff in the case of an emergency.:
1. Fire drills (3). One involving the local fire department
2. Bus evacuation drill (1)
3. Lockdown drills involving the local police department (1)
4. Severe weather/shelter-in-place drill (1)
