Staff Profile

After high school, I joined the Marine Corps, serving four years with the 3rd LAAD Battalion and the Avenger weapon system, achieving the rank of sergeant.  After returning to southern Illinois, I attended SWIC, SIUE, and McKendree University. I have been working at Granite City High School since the summer of 2004. I have held many positions at the school, in addition to being an English teacher.  I have coached, sponsored and developed many of the programs and activites we offer at the high school.  I am currently the English department chair, hobby club sponsor, and I run several activites for Renaissance.
