Staff Profile

After growing up in the midwest, Ms. Petrillo began her teaching career in the Houston, Texas area.  She returned to the area and taught several years in alternative education before coming to work for Granite City Schools in 2004.  She taught special education at Granite City High School and was the Department Chairperson, before becoming the Program Supervisor/Assistant Principal, working mainly with students who had Individual Education Plans.  She later served as the Cooperative Education Supervisor/S.T.E.P. Supervisor before being promoted to her current position as Assistant Principal.

Ms.Petrillo earned her Bachelor of Science from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  She went on to earn her Masters of Arts in Educational Adminstration at Lindenwood University and most recently her Specialist in Education degree from McKendree University.  

Ms. Petrillo has a love for continued learning, enjoys working with students and is proud to be a Granite City Warrior.
